MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said the MQM is a democratic party that believed in hard work, and it had no room for criminal elements. In a discussion with the MQM’s Coordination Committee, Altaf said the MQM was against every form of torture, terrorism, corruption and criminal activity, which was why any workers or office-bearers found involved in any criminal activities after due investigation and interrogation were immediately and publicly expelled from the party.
