Former president Pervez Musharraf has expressed deep concern over the spread of dengue virus in Punjab.
In a statement the former President said that dengue virus could be controlled if the government takes proper steps to eliminate it.
“Precious lives are being lost on a daily basis and yet it seems that government is helpless in controlling situation,” he said. “The government must take care of the health of the poor citizens of Punjab who have been affected by this virus and provide free treatment on an emergency basis. The government should advise all the doctors in government and other hospitals to provide effective and close monitoring of the patients to ensure that no further deaths are reporting because of dengue virus.”
The former president advised APML workers to take part in community relations and advocacy campaigns all over the province of Punjab to raise awareness about the deadly dengue virus.
