Tehrik Sooba Hazara leader Haider Zaman said Thursday his party would stage a big protest demonstration across Hazara region if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amir Haider Hoti came to Abbottabad. Addressing a news conference here at the National Press Club, Haider Zaman said Hoti had been mulling to visit Abbottabad. He said Hoti’s visit would tantamount to pouring salt on an open wound because he was the mastermind of April 12, 2010 violence in Abbottabad that claimed 13 lives.
“The supporters of Hazara province stand firm with an undeterred resolve to continue the movement for creation of new province and to protect the rights of residents of Hazara,” he said. He said his party had information that the provincial government had assured a cover to the local administration of Abbottabad while ordering it to use an all possible force against protesters amid Hoti’s possible visit.
“If the CM comes to Abbottabad, we will block all roads leading to the city and if he plans to arrive there through a helicopter, he will be restricted to an area surrounding the helipad,” Haider Zaman vowed.
