Dozens of angry and depressed members of a family staged stern protest over the mysterious death of an inmate in District Jail of Sialkot.
According to details, an accused, Naseer Ahmad, was confined in Sialkot’s prison for last two months in a theft case and yesterday he died there mysteriously while the jail administration failed to present any concrete reason for his death.
The aggrieved and furious family members staged a protest in front of the hospital against constant delay of postmortem of the deceased inmate’s dead body.
The dead body was moved to Civil Hospital, but even after the passage of over 12 hours, the postmortem has not been conducted.
Following the protest, the medical superintendent of Civil Hospital, Faisalabad has issued orders for the postmortem of deceased inmate’s dead body.
