A walk in connection with creating awareness about dengue was held at Shalimar Town on Wednesday. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Pervaiz Malik and PML-N Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Shahbaz led the walk, which started from Golbagh Shadbagh to Tokey Wale Chowk. Students, boy scouts and a large number of people attended the walk. Addressing participants of the walk, Pervaiz said that the government was making efforts to overcome dengue. He said that holding a walk to create awareness among the people was a healthy sign. Earlier, a meeting of the Shalimar Town Dengue Control Committee was chaired by Pervaiz, which reviewed the progress made so far in the town. The meeting was told that spray had been carried out in 82 parks of the town and spray had also been conducted in 14 parks through IRS machines.
