Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani left for Spain on Wednesday on an official visit to attend the NATO Chiefs of Defence meeting.
During his visit, the COAS will meet senior military leadership of Spain and other NATO countries. He is also scheduled to deliver a talk to the Chiefs of Defence of NATO countries on the Pakistan Army’s efforts in the global war on terror, a press release issued by the ISPR said. According to sources, the COAS would specifically take up the issue with the concerned quarters of the Taliban who first fled Pakistan’s troubled areas and were now launching cross-border attacks on the country from Afghanistan.
