A woman died and two others, including a minor girl, were seriously injured when the roof of a house collapsed in the Shahdara Police precincts on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Naseem Bibi, 60, while the injured were identified as Shumaila, 22, and Maheen, 1. According to details, the roof of a house, located near the match factory in Shahdara area, collapsed and the inmates came under the debris. Local residents reached the spot and informed Rescue 1122 officials, which reached the spot and took out Shumaila, Maheen and Naseem Bibi from the heavy debris in a critical condition. They all were rushed to a local hospital where Naseem Bibi was pronounced dead while Shumaila and Maheen were said to be stable.
RESCUE 1122: The Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 provided emergency medical cover to applicants of the medical entry test in 24 centres of 12 districts of Punjab on Tuesday. In Lahore, the Rescue 1122 remained on emergency alert with five fully-equipped emergency ambulances, three fire vehicles at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Examination Hall of the Punjab University (PU) and the BISE’s Examination Hall during the entire medical entry test.
