Wardens take out their anti-dengue guns

City Traffic Police (CTP) on Wednesday launched a 10-day fumigation campaign against dengue virus to protect the policemen and citizens from dengue. The CTP officials arranged a spray machine on their own, following the directions of high-ups. CTP would contribute vehicles and staff for the campaign, while City District Government Lahore (CDGL) would provide the medicine. Eight CTP wardens, including two lady wardens, would spray medicine in two shifts, from 5am to 8am and from 6pm to 8:30pm.
The CTP staffers would spray anti-dengue medicine especially at the offices of Punjab Police including police lines, police flats and barracks located in different areas of the city. CTP officials would also spray medicine in residential areas according to a list provided by CDGL to them. In this regard, CTP officials on Wednesday sprayed anti-dengue medicine in quarters of E-Block located in Model Town Society. Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ahmed Mubeen said that he would supervise the campaign. He requested the citizens to call CTP officials at 0300-7201616 for spraying anti-dengue medicine in any area.
