Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday asked the representative of the Sindh government whether it had asked its coalition partners to disown criminals from their ranks or not. He was presiding over the proceedings of a five-member SC bench on Karachi violence and targeted killings at the Karachi Registry.
Senior lawyer and nationalist leader Rasool Bukhsh Palejo had said on Tuesday that the situation in Karachi and Hyderabad had been deteriorating since the last 25 years, adding that the situation could not improve until those responsible for killing of innocent citizens were hanged.
