Major Ayub, who was found guilty of theft of copper wire in a Railway Bogie, has been dismissed from the service.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the dismissed officer has also been ordered to deposit his share of the embezzled amount in the government treasury.
Few days earlier, a train with copper wire was sent from Khanewal to Lahore where the wire was to be stored at Mughalpura Workshop, however the train, was sent to Kharian where the copper wire worth millions of rupees was stolen.
The army said that Major Ayub was arrested for his alleged involvement in the scam and a complete investigation will be conducted in the case.
Five other people, including a PR officer, were also arrested in the scam.

I am a retired Army officer myself, there are a lot of disgraceful characters out there, because whom the whole institution gets bad name, if some how this message gets to the right quarters, than I would suggest a Psychological test every 5 years., and the ACR should also be horizontal instead of vertical only, naturally in Vertical ACR you have to steal if your CO wants you to.

there are thieves everywhere, it made a news because he was a major and this was not expected of someone in his position, good that he got the boot. Hope they set similar examples for big fish too and we see this kind of swift action for all departments.
Within days of the report, the army has sacked the major and not wasted time. This is a good precedent.
I personally know Ayub Baig.He is the son of Major GEN(retd) Rasheed Baig .He has been punished by almighty Allah for being rude to his seriously ill father, who has lost his memory and now being looked after by his younger son Zubair Baig. Ayub Baig, Allah had given you everything one coulsd wished for loving father ,respect,wealth and job.You not only disobyed your father ,who needed you most at this stage of life but also brought disgrace to whole family. Repent is the only way to redem.

We didn't believe the news at once .For your kind information there was a proper inquiry and investigation into the case.Its beyond imagination that Army would degrade and malign itself by darging or blaming an innocent officer.Army intelligence personel carried out the investigation.On their findings the Chief of Army staff took an adminstative action and dismissed him from the service.Before taking this action he must have taken into consideration all aspects ,his father's great service to Army ,family integrity ,his character and so on.There must have been some solid evidence against him that justified the General Kiyani prompt action.
Above all Allah mighty never punishes an innocent person,Those who call him innocent must look into thier own conscience and come out of fools' paradise.A person who disobeys ,disrespect his father will suffer in this world as well in the world hereafter.

I totally agree with Fateh.I think Faisal,Zarar and Ahner are same person.I have no doubts whatsoever that Ayub himself is using these names in disguise or they are spokesman of yub.My conclusion is based on the assumptions that whenever someone in the forum speaks against Ayub, they always come up with charges against his younger brother Zubair. Instead of defending Ayub they stat accusing Zubair.Faisal even calls Zubair greedy,takig care of his father money and a jobless person, but never comes up any thing that proves Ayub is innocent and even Ahmer says that Ayub was drag into theft case. I think i am misquoted by Faisal about Zubair. I said that for the sake of argument if we believe for a second that Zubair took care of his money because he is jobless ,mentally ill or whatever reason that does not mean Zubair is justified in his actions.If he has done anything wrong he deserves the exemplary punishment.
