Foiling an attempt of Charas smuggling to Punjab the district Police recovered a huge quantity of contrabands and arrested a smuggler here on Tuesday.
The Police officials said Muhammad Raiz alongwith four policemen signaled a car (LED-3971) on Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway. The driver Qamar Abbas who belongs to Mandi Bahaudin (Punjab) stopped the car and the police recovered 12 kilogramme charas of best quality charas from its secret sections. The Police impounded the vehicle and charas. A case was registered against the smuggler under the relevant law.
