300 KESC feeders trip

Almost 300 feeders of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) tripped across the city following rainfall that continued for over 30 hours, causing prolonged power breakdowns in many parts of the city.
Soon after the rain started, power supply was suspended to Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Malir, Saddar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Lyari, Korangi, Baldia, FB Area, North Karachi, and other parts of the city because of feeders tripping and other technical faults.
However, the KESC claimed that only 110 feeders had tripped that are around 9 percent of the power utility’s supply network.
