The Punjab Paramedical Alliance (PPA) said on Monday that it would extend its support to the Punjab chief minister and the health department in combating the dengue epidemic. In PPA’s meeting, the paramedics said that they would perform their duties diligently in hospitals and special units would be made in all divisions of Punjab. These units would consist of around 300 laboratory technicians, dispensers, vaccinator, centre for disease control supervisors and other health employees and they would perform blood screening tests on complete blood count machines.
