Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) Chairman General Khalid Shameem Wynne on Tuesday presided an important meeting of the committee at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, secretaries of Defence and Defence Production, directors general of Inter Services Intelligence and Strategic Plans Division and senior military officer also attended the meeting.
The forum reviewed prevailing national and regional security environment and the challenges faced by the country and the armed forces of Pakistan. Situation on borders was discussed at length and participants expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the armed forces.
