The London headquarters of former President Pervaiz Musharraf’s one-year old All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has been shut down over the non-payment of monthly rent, utility bills and council tax for five months.
According to a private TV channel, the APML owes £19,000 to the landlord in rent money which has not been paid for five months. Moreover, APML has also not paid the council tax and other utility bills.
According to sources, Musharraf gave £50,000 to a senior position holder of the party for running the office and other affairs of the party but “a lot of it has been embezzled.”
The total running cost of the party’s Old Street headquarter was £45,000, which included £38,000 of rent and £7,000 of council taxes and utility expenses.

  1. Where did this "honest" army officer get 50,000 Pounds to give to a senior party official? His flat in Castleacre off Edgware Road is worth one and a half million Pounds. Where did this come from? And we continue to hear that Musharraf was an honest man.Nonsense.

  2. To Aminullah: What about counting how many luxury "palaces" and homes that Asif Ali Zardari has? Do you want to ask where that money came from? THAT is nonsence, you bonehead. Musharraf was better than any of these so called "politicians" for this so called "democracy" in Pakistan.

  3. Musharraf made money from his book and for speaking engagements. Zardari has billions and has never held a job 'til now; explain that.
