The process of admission for the batch of the year 2012 in various engineering disciplines at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) has started. According to SSUET Registrar Shah Mahmood Hussain Syed, the aptitude test would be held on November 20 for admission in different disciplines at the university. The students with minimum 60 percent marks in HSSC would be eligible to apply for admissions and the combination of physics, chemistry and mathematics would be the criterion for all programmes. The combination of physics, mathematics and computer science would make applicants eligible for admission to computer engineering and computer science programmes only while combination of physics, chemistry and biology would qualify the candidates for admission to bio-medical engineering only. According to an announcement by the university, November 12 will be the last date for applying to SSUET admission test. Interviews would be conducted from November 21-25. The classes are scheduled to begin from January 2012.
