Punjab’s Mineral Secretary dies of dengue

The dengue plague is constantly taking lives of the people in Punjab and today the provincial secretary of mineral has also died of this rapidly spreading epidemic.
Since last one week, Punjab’s Mineral Secretary Ataullah Siddiqui was suffering from dengue fever and he was being treated at a private hospital in Lahore.
According to doctors, Siddiqui’s platelets dropped below six thousand which was the main cause of his death.
Ataullah Siddiqui’s wife is also hospitalized for treatment.
The dengue epidemic is spreading in the country, especially in Punjab and Sindh at an alarming level. The provincial governments are trying to control it but yet they have not succeeded in it.
