Iran to donate $100m for Pakistan’s flood victims

Iran will donate $ 100 million for the rehabilitation of the rain affected people of Sindh, Iran Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najar said on Sunday said during a meeting with Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani after receiving him at Mehrabad airport.
Mostafa told the PM he would personally visit Pakistan within a week and take a planeload of relief goods for the flood victims of Pakistan. The PM thanked the government and people of Iran for their generous assistance. PM Gilani said he would ask Pakistan’s Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior and Finance to meet the Iranian Interior Minister on pending Memorandums of Understanding (MOU).
He said talks between Pakistan and Iran will focus on drug trafficking, human trafficking and terrorism. He referred to the recent visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Pakistan and existing progress on a number of subjects, including an understanding to expedite work on the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, the import of 1000 mega watts of electricity from Iran to Pakistan and setting up of an investment fund to encourage the private sector and provision of financial institutional regime to facilitate the business community of both countries without bureaucratic interfence.

    • Extremely sorry but this big amount of money that they get will not reach fairly to victims!! I hvnt observed any such news on local media! & again sorry that they just need money and they follow US- they would just keep a diplomatic relationship!! 🙁 and they dont take such advises
