Senior Literacy and Education Minister Pir Mazaharul Haq on Sunday did not deny Zulfiqar Mirza’s claims regarding MQM chief Altaf Hussain, however, he said there were many thing friends discuss and joke about during meetings but that did not mean that they should be made public.
It was the first time Haq spoke to reporters after the disclosures by Mirza who mentioned Haq in his controversial meeting with Altaf Hussain. Haq said those who swore by the Holy Quran were insecure regarding their veracity. To a question, he said he did not say that Mirza had lied or was wrong.
“I have said what I had to say. You can give it whatever meaning you want,” he said.
