Combating the threat of dengue

The government of Pakistan spends a shamefully low percentage of GDP on the public health and education. If any disease assumes alarming proportion to the near extent of epidemic, hospitals fall short of medical staff, beds or other facilities. I remember S J Khan who propounded the idea of mobile units for all public services, even daily essentials to make such services available to common man nearest to his doorstep.
I would borrow Samar J Khan’s idea to recommend to the federal and provincial governments to immediately create mobile dengue units to reach out to victims’ houses to obviate load on hospital doctors, render immediate help and perform necessary tests on minimal expense so that only serious cases are brought to hospital for more cost-effective and efficient requisite services, circumventing loot, plunder and tyranny poor people are subjected to by business communities and unethical professionals in government private hospitals.
