The Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Saturday expressed concerns over the King Edward Medical University (KEMU) administration’s insistence to begin biannual admissions in the MS/MD programme, as the YDA claimed the varsity already had a total of more than 660 PG trainees in the institute.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) rules and regulations, there could only be one PG trainee on three beds to ensure quality postgraduate training to residents, and the number of trainees had already exceeded all laid down rules and regulations.
