The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore yet again faced humiliation as the positions in the humanities group were changed two days after the announcement of results, Pakistan Today learned on Sunday. The BISE Lahore chairman ordered an inquiry on the issue and suspended Computer Section in-charge Tariq Masood. According to the earlier announced positions, Sara Zahid stood first position with 940 marks, Sadia Arshad second with 933 marks while Neelum Shan was third with 917 marks. Candidate Sara Abbas’ marks were wrongly posted by the computer section. She had secured 93 marks in Education but because of the board’s negligence, 29 marks were added to her result instead which deprived her of the first position.
After correction in the system, Sara Abbas of Mansoora Girls College was declared first with 955 marks, Sarah Zahid of Ghazali College second with 940 marks and Sadia Arshad, a private candidate, third with 933 marks in the humanities group. Lahore Board Chairman Akram Kashmiri honoured Sara Abbas with a medal and cash prize. Several other students also complained about the computer system, saying their correct marks were not posted and they had to get their papers rechecked. Earlier, the BISE Lahore was criticised for inaccuracies in the online system as the Matriculation results were full of mistakes.

I request the please do not spoil the future of our childrens by making mistakes which spoils their trust in our system and also on the peoples attached with it. I will like that you should waive off the rechecking fee because it is unfair that system or your staff makes the mistakes and poor public suffers both mentally and financially.
Mr. tariq masood is very competent and honest officer. He has been suspended just to release the pressure. It was not the duty of the System Analyst to check / count the numbers of each candidate from the scripts. How the responsibility can be thrown to him without having any fault. The Board management is responsible to introduce a new system of tabulation of computerized results by eliminating scrutiny process. The computer section has the responsible just to compile the data scanned through the software obtained from the out source. The result scrutiny process should not be eliminated to declare the foolproof results.
for GOD sake i request to lhr board plz don't play with students future and announce the pending results as soon as possible so that they become able to take admission in good institutes for furthur education
Clerical mistakes may occur while feeding so much data..Furhermore, it is not the mistake of Incharge of computer section but of concerned comp. operator, so he deserved punishment not the incharge.
