Awami National Party (ANP) Central Vice President Bushra Gohar said on Sunday that a commission comprising reputable physiatrists should be constituted to examine Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain as his statements were no more normal. “This is something I am advising very seriously as Altaf’s statements are evidence of his abnormality,” the ANP senior leader said. “His examinations by good psychiatrists will surely resolve many problems and will save the nation’s time to think over the MQM chief’s statements,” she said. She said formation of a judicial commission or any other inquiry before Altaf was checked by psychiatrists was pointless. She said Altaf in his recent statements had threatened the Supreme Court, saying that he would let loose his workers if the superior court decided something against him. He had also threatened political parties, she said. She said further that Altaf’s body language and expressions during his press conference were abnormal. “He was reciting the Quran at one time and in the same breath was singing Indian melodies with dancing gestures on his chair,” she added.
