The managers of “Istehkam-e-Pakistan Referendum Register” have claimed that over 7,000 residents of Islamabad have signed referendum register in favour of a resolution that seeks resignation of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani along with several other demands.
According to press release issued here on Sunday, Khwaja Khalil Slaar, introducer of the register, claimed that so far more than 7,000 people had signed the register, adding he would launched the move across the country. The massive mobile register sized 12x16f is being placing in various part of metropolis.
He said that on September 8, hundreds of people in Sitara Market signed the register in favour of the resolution. The traders’ union of Sitara Market hosted the event. In view of public demand, the register was placed in Sitara Market and adjoining areas on September 9 and a large number of young men, women and old people backed the resolution.
Similarly, on September 10, hundreds of people from F-8 Markaz Islamabad, including lawyers, members of Lawyers’ clerks association, Traders’ Union F-8 Markaz President Qamar Abbassi and other members welcomed Salar and signed the resolution.
