Police arrested two people within the Sabzi Mandi Police Station’s precincts on the charges of picking up citizens while impersonating as the Intelligence Bureau (IB) officials, a police spokesman said on Saturday. He said police on a tip off arrested Aftab Haider and Tahir Abbasi from Sector I-10 while they were trying to whisk away a local, Saud Ahmed.
A FIR 456/11 was registered against the accused under sections 382, 411 and 170. During the preliminary, investigation it was revealed that the Haider and Abbasi had running a gang to loot people. The spokesman said further interrogation was underway after which they were expecting to capture more people.
