Five people have been taken into custody and are being interrogated in connection with the kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer, one of the sons of former Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.
Quoting sources, the channel reported that these individuals were taken into custody from Gulberg-II area of Lahore. These (five) suspects are accused of conducting reconnaissance on Shahbaz Taseer. The investigators had not been able to locate those behind the kidnapping, the channel reported.
Shahbaz Taseer was kidnapped from Gulberg on August 26.
