Search operation continue; eight more ‘target killers’ held

In the continuing search operations in the city, security forces claimed arresting eight more target killers and recovering weapons from them. In Mauripur, law enforcement personnel raided different houses and arrested three suspects allegedly involved in targeted killings in the city and also recovered weapons from their possession.
In a search operation in Liaqatuabad, police claimed to have arrested four target killers and recovering weapons from them. Another alleged target killer was arrested from the Samanabad area in Gulberg, police said. The arrested suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location to be further interrogated. Meanwhile, Pakistan Rangers and city police have stepped up snap checking at different points of the city.
TWO ARRESTED: Police have arrested two persons in suspicion of trying to misguide law enforcers by providing wrong information. Shah Faisal SP Chaudhry Asad Ali told Pakistan Today that a man identified as Saleem had made a phone call and informed that four girls of the Korangi Degree College had been kidnapped.
“As the police investigated the matter, the information proved wrong,” the SP said, “we carried out a raid and have arrested Saleem.” The Saudabad police also arrested a person on proving wrong information to the security forces regarding killing of four people. Saudabad SHO said: “The misleading information created tension in the area. Police arrested the person and an FIR has been registered against him.”
TRADERS KIDNAPPED: Two businessmen were reportedly kidnapped from the Shershah Kabari Market. As per reports, unidentified kidnappers had come to the area in an ambulance and abducted Mohammad Khalid and his colleague from the market. The market association general secretary, Mohammad Ayub, told Pakistan Today that the kidnapping of businessmen is still continuing and the security forces have failed to curb the menace.
Police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons and started investigation. Meanwhile, a man wearing the uniform of Pakistan Rangers was arrested while robbing valuable from people.
