Tibbi City Police have registered a case of murder against a woman, her sister and her brother, accused of beating her 5-year-old son to death.
The dead boy was identified as Haider Ali who was a resident of Auncha Cheet Raam Road in Tibbi City Police precincts. Police said Ali’s mother named Salma had married Waseem Abbas seven years ago but the two had been separated. Ali, who was staying with her mother, sustained injuries after he fell from the stairs. He had been shifted to the Mayo Hospital where he died on Friday.
Abbas had complained to the police that his son was beaten to death by his mother, his maternal aunt Shazia and Kashif as he wanted to stay with him. Police, on the complaint, registered a case against Salma, Shazia and Kashif and started investigating the incident.
Sources said police had also taken the accused in their custody. However, autopsy of the minor would decide the fate of the case.
Man killed over family dispute: Latif Masih,50, was shot dead allegedly by his rivals in Kachi Abadi located near Lohe Wali Pulli in the Badami Bagh police precincts on Friday.
According to details, the deceased and his relatives quarreled over a minor issue but the matter was resolved after the involvement of the elders of the family. But the accused Aslam, William and Siddique nurtured grudge against him.
On the day of the incident, the accused chased Latif while he was on his way to work and opened fire at him. As a result, he sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where he died. Police, on being informed, reached the site and moved the body to city morgue. Police registered a murder case against the accused men and started investigating the case without any arrests so far.
