Pleasant weather prevailed in Lahore after a rainy morning on Friday as the mercury hardly touched 32 degrees Celsius and relative humidity remained at 96. The Met Office said another monsoon low pressure area had developed over the eastern parts of India, which was heading towards south Pakistan.
Under the influence of this weather system, more widespread rains of moderate to heavy intensity are expected in Sindh, South Punjab and Eastern Balochistan from Sunday evening to Tuesday. Scattered rains are also expected in upper and central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during the period. The current spell of monsoon is weakening gradually and is likely to subside during the next 24 hours after causing scattered rains in Sindh.
