Two people died, two were injured and a drug-dealer was arrested in four different incidents in the city on Thursday. A 10-year-old boy lost his life in an accident while playing on the rooftop of his house in Faisal Park in Shadbagh police precincts. Usman, son of Mansha, was playing with his four-year-old sister on a swing that they had mounted through some bricks. The bricks slipped away and Usman hanged with the rope. Usman’s sister tried to save her brother’s life but to no avail. She informed the family upon which Usman was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The police moved the body to the city morgue for autopsy. In another incident, a 26-year-old unidentified man died after receiving electric shocks in the Islampura police precincts on Thursday. The deceased was doing his work near Amir Hotel when he touched a live wire. He was shifted to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead. SHO and other policemen arrested the drug peddler named Jamrood Khan on a tip-off during special checking on Circular Road. In a separate incident, two unidentified men received bullet injuries when two unidentified bike riders opened indiscriminate firing in Mozang Police limits on Thursday. As a result, two passers-by received bullet injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital where they were said to be out of danger.
