As many as 16 teams from all over the country will participate in the National Under-19 Football Championship here at Model Town. The championship will be held from September 11 to 23. The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) official said on Wednesday that the event would cost up to Rs three million, which was generated the federation by its own resources. “The PFF organises this event with a year’s interval in which they allow Pakistan’s qualified coaches to accumulate a team to represent their respective zones,” he said.
The teams of Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Bannu, Faisalabad, Model Town Club, Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, KP, Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA will take part in the tournament.
