Bulleh Shah’s Urs from today

The 254th annual Urs of Muhammad Abdullah Shah Known as Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah will be held from September 8 to 10 in Kasur.
The provincial Auqaf minister performed the Ghusal of the shrine on September 7 while DCO Irshad Hussain Shah, along with the DPO, will open the three-day Urs on September 8 (Thursday).
Thousands of people from all over the country and abroad will participate in the Urs. Programmes at the Urs include Quran Khwani, Mushaira, declamation contest among students, speeches of Ulema, Qawwali and procession of Godri Shrif. The DPO said on Wednesday that the security had been beefed up in the city to avoid any untoward incident during the Urs. He said walk-through gates have been installed at the shrine entrance besides deploying extra contingents of police.
