Arrested SHO escapes from Wahdat Colony Police Station

Former Wahdat Colony station house officer (SHO) Hamid Ali, booked on charges of setting free three car-lifters, fled from the police station in connivance with the police on Wednesday.
Wahdat Colony Police registered a case against four police officials including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tanveer on showing negligence in their duty and releasing the SHO.
ABDUCTED CHILD FOUND: Mozang Police recovered on Wednesday a five-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Sherankot Police Area around one and half year ago.
Surprisingly, Sherankot Police never bothered registering a case of minor’s kidnapping since the day he was abducted. According to details, on Wednesday, an informer of Mozang Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Zulifqar from Mughalpura informed the ASI that a local resident Muhammad Shaukat had a kidnapped child. The ASI, along with his subordinates raided the area and arrested Muhammad Shaukat, recovering Hassan, resident of Sherankot.
COPPER STOLEN: Five tones of cooper were stolen by unidentified thieves in connivance with railway employees on Wednesday.
DIG Railway Munir Ahmad Chisti said an unidentified man booked five tones of cooper from Riawind on August 3, but the railway officials tampered with the bogie at Lahore Railway Station and sent it to Kharian. The DIG said the bogie was stolen on August 4 and the Railway police noticed the missing bogie on September 6. The bogie was found from Kharian Station on Wednesday. The DIG confirmed the involvement of railway employees in the said case because tampering was a technical task.
