Three bodies found in Defence flat

Police found three bodies in a flat located in the Defence area on Tuesday. The three victims, including a female, were found in flat No 4, second floor, 7-C Building, 18 Commercial Street, DHA Phase-II. They were shot and their bodies bore torture marks. Their hands and legs were also tied. The police believe that the three people were brought to the flat alive and subjected to severe torture and then shot dead. They were identified as Faheem, 30, Wajid, 28, and Quratul Ain. The bodies were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for autopsy. In a separate case, a teenage boy died in a gas cylinder explosion in the North Nazimabad area. Police said that Faizee was injured when a gas cylinder exploded in North Nazimabad Block-1. He was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
OPERATIONS: the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) arrested at least arrested six suspects in a raid in Lyari, recovered weapons from their possession and transferred them to an undisclosed location for further investigation. The residents of the area staged a protest against the operation saying that the arrested people are innocent. The raids were conducted in Singu Lane, Afshani Gali, Miran Naka and Kalri areas of Lyari. The LEAs also carried out an operation in the Asif Colony area of Pak Colony where police apprehended two suspects and seized weapons from them.  Similar operations were conducted in Surajni town and Saiful Mari Goth, where many suspects were arrested and a huge quantity of weapons recovered from their possession.
