PMA warns against terrorism

Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Central President Dr Hadi Baksh Jatoi and Provincial President Dr Umar Ayub Khan said on Wednesday that 22 centers, decided by the Public Service Commission (PSC) to conduct screening tests of doctors working under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission, had received threats from terrorists and warned against any untoward incident during these tests.
Jatoi and Khan said the allotted centers were prone to terrorist activities, adding that they had informed the provincial government about the situation. PMA officials said further that these centers lacked proper sitting facilities. They said the chief minister and governor were aware of these problems but they had stayed apathetic, adding that the PSC would be responsible for any unpleasant t situation.
They said such a screening test had never been conducted and candidates were normally short listed on the basis of their academic record. They said further that the passing marks and marking methodology had also not been conveyed to the candidates, which was unjustified.
