Indian delegation visits universities

An inter-university delegation of academics from four renowned Indian universities will visit Lahore on invitation of the Kinnaird College for Women (KC) and the Punjab University (PU) until September 10. Facilitated by the Foundation for the Promotion of Academic Collaboration (FCAP), the delegation would visit KC, PU, the Government College University (GCU), Virtual University (VU) and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and meet the Punjab governor and chief minister.
The Indian delegation consists of representatives from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Delhi University, Pondicherry University and Jamia Millia Islamia. Head of the delegation IGNOU vice-chancellor’s (VC) advisor Dr Vijay Kapur said that the purpose of an inter-university visit was to initiate cross border academic dialogue and interactions, which would help students and faculties from both sides of the border to collaborate. KC Principal Dr Rukhsana David said that KC was pleased to host the trip.
