Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday opposed military operation and the proposed governor’s rule in Karachi and Sindh.
Addressing a press conference at the PTI Secretariat, the cricketer-turned-politician said that a politically neutral person should be made the governor of Sindh, who can take action against any and all involved. Commenting on former Sindh home minister Zulfikar Mirza’s outburst against Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Federal Interior Minster Rehman Malik, Khan said Mirza’s revelations should not be overlooked.
Khan requested the chief justice of Pakistan to conduct a detailed inquiry to ascertain the veracity of Mirza’s allegations. He said his party demanded Malik’s resignation from ministry and Senate as he was facing serious allegations.
