Business leaders start LCCI election campaign

Business leaders have kick stated election campaigns for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) forth coming elections, which are going to be held on September 20-21. Both Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF)-Founders Alliance and Azad Group Pakistan Traders Front Alliance (AG) have formally announced their candidates for the annual election here on Wednesday.
PIAF-Founders Alliance has started its election campaign by inaugurating its election office, while Azad Group held a news conference at Lahore Press Club. PIAF-Founders Alliance Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar and Steering Committee Chairman Mian Mohammad Ashraf jointly performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of LCCI President Shahzad Ali Malik, Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Arshad, Vice President Sohail Azhar. Several LCCI formal office-bearers, PIAF Chairman Sohail Lashari, Vice Chairman Junaid Iqbal Sheikh, representatives of different market associations were also present on the occasion.
PIAF-Founder Alliance nominated Farooq Iftikhar, Mian Abuzar Shaad, Kashif Younas Meher, Shahzeb Akram, Ahmed Hasnain, Raees A Sheikh, Hasnain Reza Mirzaz and Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi for Corporate Class polls, while Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Aftab Ahmad Vohra, Khamis Saeed, Nasir Saeed, Mohammad Amjad Chaudhry, Zeshan Khalil and Waqar Ahmad Mian were nominated for Associate class elections. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, PIAF-Founders Alliance Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar said that the country at moment was passing through very challenging times and a true business leadership could help bring the country out of these economic issues.
