There’s bad blood over Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’, say sources. Kareena Kapoor and the Bachchans have a history. Since the Karisma Kapoor-Abhishek Bachchan engagement went kaput, the relationship between this set of Kapoors and the Bachchans has been strained. Now news has it that the Bachchan bahu Aishwarya Rai is not very happy with the fact that Kareena has readily accepted ‘Heroine’, a project that was started with her; a film she had to let go off when she realised that she was pregnant. Ash has gracefully returned the signing amount of ‘Heroine’; but she has reportedly issued an ultimatum to the producers, saying they cannot use any of her stills from her week-long shoot of the film. In other words, Ash wants closure. So, it comes as a shock to learn from an insider that Ash is not happy with Kareena’s decision to accept ‘Heroine’. Kareena denies knowledge of this. Says she, “Madhur and the film corporation were very keen that I should be in ‘Heroine’. The film was written for me originally.” Kareena will the first Indian heroine ever to allegedly get eight crores for a film, say sources. She will be the first leading lady to sit in on the edit of a film. She will also have a share in the profits.
