Pleasant weather prevailed in the city on Tuesday with isolated showers in various parts of city. Sudden showers at midday ended muggy conditions present for the last two days. The maximum temperature in the city was 33 degrees Celsius. South Punjab, parts of Sindh and Balochistan also witnessed isolated rainfalls at some places.
Heavy rain poured down in Karachi where 71 millimetres rain was recorded while in parts of Punjab, 35 millimetres rain was recorded in Sahiwal, 12 in DG Khan, 5 in Bahawalnagar and 1 millimetre in Jhang. According to the Met Office, fairly widespread rain with heavy falls at isolated places was expected in Sindh, South Punjab and East Balochistan while scattered thunderstorm was expected in Sahiwal, Faisalabad and Lahore and isolated rain was also expected in North Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
