Mujahid Squad Police nabbed 293 motorcycles during last week while taking stern action against one-wheeling, suspected vehicles and vehicles with illegal number plates. Around 1,139 cars and motorcycles were checked on suspicion in different divisions of the city. Around 98 motorcycles in the City Police Divison, 21 in Sadar, 32 in Allama Iqbal Town, 36 in Model Town, 51 in Cantt and 55 in Civil Lines Division were ceased in different police stations. SP Athar Waheed appealed to citizens to keep their vehicle’s documents with them while travelling on roads to fulfil legal formalities. He said that citizens should cooperate with security personnel, as all security measures were being taken in the citizens’ best interest.
