Tennis player Sania Mirza does have close friends in Bollywood and keeps busy socialising with them. But she wouldn’t appreciate anyone making a film on her controversial marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoiab Malik.
Sania’s wedding to the sportsman from across the border raised many eyebrows and the pretty girl put all speculations to rest by supporting her husband through thick and thin. And now when the Indian sport star learnt about the film being made on her marriage, she was prompt enough to comment on it. She also clarifies that he wedding wasn’t a “drama”. Talking to a daily, Sania said, “Firstly, my marriage with Shoaib is not an episode. It is my life. And secondly, very few people know the truth (about the marriage). So, I don’t think anyone can make a film on a subject without knowing the complete facts.”
Sania has been under constant criticism for choosing a Pakistani as her husband. But she has been able to respond to her critics wisely. Shoaib, who made a comeback into the national cricket team of Pakistan, has said that it was Sania’s persistent support that helped him pass through the tough phase in his career with ease.
Talking about her relationship with Shoaib, Sania said, “I did what every wife would do for a husband. He too has helped me in many ways. Right now, we both are happy with our lives, except for the fact that I don’t get to spend enough time with my husband because of our constant travelling.”
