‘Uplift projects worth millions completed under Lyari package’

Development projects worth millions of rupees have been completed under the Lyari package and the credit for the locality’s development goes to President Asif Ali Zardari, said Lyari Town Administrator Muhammad Raeesi on Monday while presiding over a meeting to review the ongoing development work being carried out under the package.
Raeesi said that Zardari is to be thanked for the Lyari package as he was the one who had announced it.
The administrator said that after completion of the projects, the people of Lyari would receive civic facilities, including water and sewerage, similar to the residents of other localities.
He ordered the officers concerned to ensure that only standard material is used in the development work.
SHAH FAISAL ADMIN FOR HEALTH CAMPS: “Set up medical camps in all public sector hospitals and dispensaries to counter waterborne diseases due to rains,” Shah Faisal Town Administrator Kamal Mustafa advised during a high-level meeting with the officials of the Sindh Health Department and town administration.
Mustafa issued directives to launch a campaign for creating awareness among the masses regarding viral and bacterial diseases, including dengue, due to rains.
He also ordered fumigation and maintenance of cleanliness in all areas of the town to stop the spread of diseases.
He advised the people to take precautionary measures against dengue and malaria on a personal level as well.
Town residents are advised to lodge their complaints with regard to fumigation at the town’s Central Control Room on 021-99248648 to ensure availability of anti-insecticides.
SITE ADMIN HAILS RAIN MEASURES: “Staff members of the SITE Town administration have made satisfactory arrangements for immediate removal of water accumulated after rains,” SITE Town Administrator Imran Aslam said in a statement on Monday while appreciating the arrangements made by the administration regarding recent rains.
The administrator praised the staff for setting an example on Eid and hoped that it would continue throughout the year.
