Prominent Indian and Pakistani scholars will present their papers in an international conference on the renowned poet, Faiz Ahmed Faiz on September 6 and 7 at the University of Karachi (KU). The event is being organised by Pakistan Study Centre, University of Karachi in collaboration with Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER) and Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC), to commemorate the birth centenary of the great poet.
The conference would be held in different sessions at the KU, said a statement. KU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui will preside over the inaugural session of the moot in the Arts Auditorium of the KU at 10am on Tuesday while National Language Authority Chairman Dr Anwaar Ahmed will present the key-note address.
