Bilawal meets CPC leadership in China

Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Wang Jiarui, Minister of the International Department of Communist Party of China’s (CPC) Central Committee, here on Monday.
The two leaders emphasized on carrying forward the legendary friendship between Pakistan and China to new heights in the years to come.
Minister Wang Jiarui invited the primary leadership of PPP to China for increasing interaction with the leadership of CPC. He recalled his earlier meeting with Bilawal in 2008 and before that with Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and welcomed the third generation of PPP leadership’s close friendship with their Chinese counterparts.
The two leaders also agreed that Pakistan and China should increase regional cooperation for ensuring peace, harmony, and equitable development in the region.
Later, Bilawal met Jose De Venecia, Founding Chairman and Co-Chairman of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and former speaker of the House of Representatives of Philippines. He appreciated the idea of holding this conference which allows them to better understand each others’ political, cultural and traditions.
Bilawal is leading a PPP delegation in the Conference on Development and People’s Access taking place here from September 4-6. The delegation comprising PPP Secretary General Jahangir Bader, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar, MNA Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Hashim Riaz Sheikh. Ambassador Masood Khan and members of the PPP delegation also attended the meetings.
