Awami National Party (ANP) Information Secretary Senator Zahid Khan on Sunday demanded judicial probe into the allegations leveled by former senior minister Zulfiqar Mirza against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Interior Minister Rehman Malik. Khan said Mirza’s status as a senior politician means making allegations in political statements would be inappropriate. He said a judicial inquiry was needed to reveal what was responsible for targeted killings and kidnappings in Karachi. “It is strange that torture cells exist in the city but no one has far been able to access them,” he said.
