The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has deployed its engineering and vigilance teams to monitor the gas distribution system throughout Sindh and Balochistan.
A spokesman for the SSGC said on Saturday that the step has been taken on the instructions of Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Dr Asim Hussain to protect the system from possible floods in the wake of the devastating rains.
“The deployment of engineers and vigilance teams will also help resolve any problem triggering from rains and flooding in SSGC’s network area,” he added.
The spokesman said that the SSGC’s network is completely safe and the operations were continuing in routine fashion.
