Govt plans check-posts on Sindh-Balochistan border

Joints check-posts of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Coast Guards and Frontier Constabulary would be set up on the Sindh-Balochistan border to curb the movement of terrorists and smuggling of arms.
This was decided in a meeting, chaired by Interior Minister Rehman Malik, on Saturday.
The meeting was also attended by FIA Sindh Director Moazzam Jah, FIA Immigration Deputy Director Malik Subeh Saddiq, FIA Counter Terrorism head Azad Khan and Coast Guards Director General Brig Shahryar Khan.
The minister said that the check-posts would monitor and control the movement of terrorists and curb smuggling of weapons and fuel. All the authorities concerned would coordinate with each other to establish the check posts.
