The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted flood in Ganda Singh, Kasur, because of heavy rainwater discharge in the Indian parts of rivers Sutlej and Beas. A new monsoon system in India might bring heavy rains with thunderstorms in various districts of interior Sindh and Punjab, said the department. Lahore Flood Warning Centre Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Riaz said flood deluge was looming over Ganda Singh and Head Sulemanki and rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could inundate the area between Attock and Sindh. Agricultural experts said rains at this time of the year were extremely harmful for cotton crops in south Punjab and Sindh.
