A large-scale anti-encroachment operation would be launched soon to demolish illegal constructions erected on water lines and nullahs in the limits of Shah Faisal Town, said the town’s administrator, Kamal Mustafa, on Saturday.
According to a statement, Mustafa was inspecting the arrangements to handle the situation likely to arise due to expected rains. He visited different union councils of the town in this regard.
He said that the use of illegal means to get water supply and sewerage connections must be avoided because it affects the system as well as creates hindrance in smooth supply of drinking water.
He called upon the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) to take legal action against illegal water connections to provide relief to the people.
He advised the masses to contact the departments concerned for resolution of their problems with regard to water supply and sewerage system.
Officials concerned of the KWSB and heads of various wings of the town administration were also present on the occasion.
